Solution Specialist - Banking Sales

Jack Henry is currently seeking a Solution Specialist to join our team. The Solution Specialist is responsible for partnering with Sales Representatives to actively drive and engage in the sales process for our core banking software and services offerings. They must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. They will work closely with the sales team, internal business development and operations teams and ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. They are also responsible for guiding product strategy, identifying market trends and competitive analysis.
This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Springfield, MO; Monett, MO; Allen, TX; Lenexa, KS; Cedar Falls, IA; Birmingham, AL; Charlotte, NC; or Louisville, KY.
All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Interacts with prospective and existing financial institution customers to determine their needs and strategic direction and advises on solutions to help them achieve their objectives.
- Provides product expertise and resources to Sales. Participates in strategic sales engagements, product demonstrations and requests for proposals. Articulates product strategy and promotes the offering.
- Researches and identifies customer needs and market trends, and articulates findings in the form of product enhancements and requirements.
- Researches competitor products and maintains competitive comparisons and evaluations. Plays proactive role in product planning and design to ensure the product is differentiated from competitors in the marketplace and incorporates latest technologies.
- Collaborates with Marketing to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. Develops product profiles, competitive analysis, presentations, demos, white papers, and product updates.
- Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace. Provides strategic guidance to address product weaknesses.
- Advises on pricing strategies.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience and/or with Jack Henry Banking software.
- Experience with one of the following: Teller and Teller Capture suite, including 4|sight, OutLink item processing, Synapsys CRM, or jhCall Center.
- Must be able to travel up to 40%.
What would be nice for you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Jack Henry Platform experience.
- Proven success presenting technology as a business solution.
- Proven success selling in complicated sales surroundings with both technical and business buyers.
- Strong selling and sales aptitude.
- Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
- Effective verbal, written and presentation skills.
