Senior Marketing Technology Strategist

The Senior Marketing Technology Strategist, under minimal supervision, serves as the primary practitioner responsible for the execution of the strategy, architecture, implementation, governance, and optimization of the core marketing automation and revenue operations platform (HubSpot). As the subject matter expert, this role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to design, implement, and continuously optimize automation, revenue processes, and AI-enabled marketing operations while establishing scalable standards and best practices.
This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.

What you’ll be responsible for:
- Partners with digital channel owners, capability owners, audience owners, sales stakeholders, and technical teams to evaluate opportunities, define solutions, and develop audience-centric engagement, activation, and measurement strategies that align business objectives with revenue outcomes.
- Executes on the strategy and evolution of marketing technology capabilities, including buyer intent tools, email nurture automation, lead and company scoring, lifecycle management, audience segmentation, routing, and campaign operations.
- Establishes scalable architecture, governance, and operating standards for automation, data management, enterprise platform integrations, and technology adoption.
- Evaluates and communicates business impact through engagement, conversion, pipeline, and operational performance metrics, using insights to guide strategy and investment decisions.
- Designs and optimizes personalized buyer journeys, scoring frameworks, workflows, and automation programs using behavioral, firmographic, intent, and lifecycle data.
- Configures, tests, documents, and maintains marketing technology automation solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with revenue process requirements.
- Partners with Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, and Analytics stakeholders to improve lead management, CRM integration, attribution, data quality, campaign execution, and operational efficiency across the revenue lifecycle.
- Uses performance insights to continuously improve buyer engagement, qualification, conversion, sales alignment, and revenue outcomes.
- Partners with business and technical stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, define solutions, manage risks and tradeoffs, and align priorities with business objectives.
- Facilitates strategy discussions, solution enablement, and change management activities to drive adoption and maximize the value of marketing technology capabilities, processes, and reporting.
- Establishes and advances scalable delivery standards, governance frameworks, documentation practices, and AI-enabled capabilities that improve quality, consistency, and operational efficiency.
- Identifies opportunities to optimize processes, capabilities, and ways of working, driving scalable improvements that create measurable business value.
- Maintains expertise in enterprise marketing automation software, CRM platforms, and third-party integrations, AI, marketing automation, and revenue operations best practices, applying emerging capabilities to improve business outcomes and service delivery.
- Mentors and assists less experienced peers.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, revenue operations, CRM administration, or solution architecture.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, or similar systems), including automation, lifecycle management, segmentation, lead and company scoring, buyer intent, reporting, integrations, and campaign operations.
- Must be able to work extended hours as business needs dictate.
- Must be able to travel up to 5%.
What would be nice for you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- A senior level professional with in-depth body of knowledge, experience and expertise with the ability to resolve complex issues. Works on complex to highly complex projects. Exercises sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for developing viable solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions, implementation roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
- Experience with marketing technology governance, automation, testing, change management, CRM integrations, data quality, and platform optimization; experience with APIs, Customer Data Platforms, AI agents, or similar technologies preferred.
- Strong understanding of how marketing, sales, CRM, automation, data, attribution, and reporting systems work together to drive revenue outcomes.
- Deep expertise in marketing automation platforms across workflow design, buyer intent, lead and company scoring, lifecycle management, segmentation, reporting, integrations, and Enterprise-scale architecture.
- Demonstrated proficiency in solution architecture across CRM, marketing automation, data governance, data quality, integrations, and revenue-generating business processes.
- Advanced ability to design, troubleshoot, and optimize scalable automation solutions, including workflows, scoring models, routing logic, and customer journeys.
- Thorough understanding of Revenue Operations principles and how marketing, sales, CRM, automation, data, attribution, and reporting systems work together to drive business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex business and technical problems, translate requirements into practical solutions, and deliver measurable results.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to influence, mentor, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Fluency with AI-enabled work methods, automation technologies, and emerging industry trends, applying innovation and best practices to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability.
