The Senior Advisor, Business Strategy serves as a strategic partner to some of Jack Henry’s largest and most critical banking clients. As part of the Regional Banking Office (RBO) — a team dedicated to delivering a high‑touch, executive‑level experience — this role provides guidance that shapes each bank’s long‑term technology and operational direction. This includes aligning strategies, identifying opportunities for modernization, and ensuring that bank leadership has the insight needed to make informed decisions.
We are seeking an experienced banking technology leader, ideally someone who has served as a CIO or senior technology executive within a large financial institution. This role operates independently to provide high‑level advisory services across technology, operations, talent assessment, digital transformation, and regulatory alignment. The Senior Advisor evaluates current practices against industry best practices and recommends strategies, solutions, and roadmaps that strengthen performance and support long‑term success. Experience with Jack Henry solutions is highly valuable and enhances the partnership’s effectiveness.
As the strategic lead for the overall relationship, this role is highly visible and deeply influential. The Senior Advisor acts as a trusted resource for senior bank executives, guiding major transformation initiatives, supporting technology planning, and ensuring alignment between bank priorities and Jack Henry’s capabilities. This position is perfect for those who are ready to operate at an executive advisory level and play a central role in shaping the strategic outcomes of large financial institutions.
This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.

The salary range for this position is $160,000-$200,000 and will be determined based on location and experience level.

What you’ll be responsible for:
- Develops strategies, plans and proposals to address business opportunities and challenges identified by client financial institutions.
- Acts as a trusted partner to financial institution executives. Provides education to senior leaders and board members with respect to digital/technology industry trends and competitive influences.
- Defines business imperatives and challenges through management consultations, team meetings, case framework analysis, and other applicable strategies.
- Performs current state assessments of technology effectiveness, digital maturity and business process efficiency.
- Designs and implements transformational programs including technology, organization, communications, business process management approaches and strategic programs to support revenue growth, improve customer experience or reduce expenses.
- Conducts interviews, focus groups with stakeholders, managers, executives to gather data, analyze activities and provide feedback.
- Conducts objective research on behalf of the client on current market, technology trends, client competitors, product demands and capability, best practices and other related topics to support critical analysis.
- Summarizes all gathered data and facts; deduces logical conclusions based on valid and supported information.
- Brainstorms, finalizes, and presents recommendations/proposals for projects, programs, solutions in a thoughtful, cohesive manner.
- Performs analysis, leverages subject matter expertise and best practices on individual requests as appropriate on a case-by-case basis.
- Provides thought leadership, education and support to the account team on behalf of the client.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience supporting senior‑level advisory responsibilities.
- 15+ years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, consulting for financial institutions, or leading large‑scale banking technology and transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience advising or partnering with senior banking executives (e.g., CIOs, technology leaders) on technology strategy, digital transformation, and long‑term operational planning.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in an executive‑level consulting capacity, providing strategic insights, evaluations, and roadmaps aligned to industry best practices and regulatory expectations.
- Ability to travel up to 20% to support on‑site executive engagements and high‑touch relationship needs

- Proven ability to lead large‑scale transformation initiatives, demonstrating adaptability, strong judgment, and a focus on delivering outcomes in complex, high‑visibility environments.
