Sales Account Executive - FactorSoft
At Jack Henry, we’re more than a technology company, we’re a force for good in financial services. We’re redefining how community banks and credit unions connect with the people they serve. Our mission is rooted in people inspired innovation, empowering financial institutions to deliver seamless, secure, and human centered experiences. We deliver cutting-edge solutions that are paving the way for the next generation of digital banking and payments, but our true impact begins with our associates. If you're ready to help transform an industry and grow with a company that values purpose, collaboration, and excellence then we’d love to meet you.
We are seeking a high-impact, specialized Sales Account Executive focused on new account growth and capturing market share. FactorSoft is the industry’s "gold standard" solution for Factoring and Asset-Based Lending (ABL).
Because FactorSoft is a sophisticated, niche product, we need a Commercial Finance Specialist and Subject Matter Expert (SME) who can consult with CEOs, CFOs, and Credit Officers.
You will act as a trusted advisor, helping prospects modernize their lending workflows, mitigate risk, and achieve operational scale. You will report to the Director of Operations, giving you influence to the business unit’s strategy while enjoying the stability and culture of Jack Henry.
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): Expected to be in the $200,000+ range, consisting of a competitive base salary (historically anchored around $60,000+) and a significant commission structure (approximately $175,000 at plan).
- Quota Expectations: Annual quotas typically approximate $3.00M, based on total contract value.
- Retroactive Tiers: Our commission rates are progressive. As you achieve higher attainment of your quota (e.g., crossing the 100% mark to the 150%+ Accelerator tier), the higher commission rate is applied retroactively to all production for the period.
- Hunter's Incentive: To ensure your focus remains on hunting new logos, new sales receive a full quota credit, paying full commission on your progressive tier.
This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.
All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Drive New Business: Identify and close new sales opportunities focusing on independent factors, bank-owned factors, and commercial finance companies. Manage a complex sales cycle with patience and persistence.
- Problem-Led Selling: Identify "legacy pain" in lenders struggling with manual spreadsheets or aging systems. Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions to uncover bottlenecks and risk gaps.
- Master the "Story": Move beyond features and demonstrate how FactorSoft mitigates specific industry risks (e.g., debtor concentration, fraud detection) and increases ROI. You must be able to describe a day in the life of an Operations Head and show how our software solves their specific "hair-on-fire" problems.
- Own the Ecosystem: Represent FactorSoft and build a pipeline through networking at key industry events, including the Secured Finance Network (SFN) and the International Factoring Association (IFA).
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations and Product teams to ensure the "voice of the customer" shapes our long-term roadmap.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Factoring or Asset-Based Lending (ABL) industry (either selling software or working in a Factor's back office).
- Ability to confidently discuss complex topics like Advance Rates, Discount Fees, recourse vs. non-recourse, participation, inter-creditor agreements, and UCC filings.
- Comfortable navigating complex software ecosystems and integrations.
- A proven track record of exceeding quotas in a long-cycle, high-value B2B sales environment without waiting for inbound leads.
- Up to 60% travel required for this role.
What would be nice for you to have:
- Must be able to fluently explain the lifecycle of an invoice—from purchase to collection—without needing a script.
- Must be able to explain the difference between Factoring and ABL to a prospect wanting to do both.
- Must be hungry to celebrate big wins and comfortable traveling to visit prospects and attend industry conferences.
If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this opportunity. Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement on this posting, we still encourage you to apply. We’re looking for passionate, driven individuals who align with our mission and can bring unique perspectives to our team.
