Communications & Reporting Specialist I

The Communications & Reporting Specialist I manages external communications and regulatory reporting throughout the major incident lifecycle. Acting as a primary liaison with service owners, this role translates complex technical issues into clear, professional, and compliant updates for clients and regulatory bodies (e.g., Federal Banking Agencies). This position supports the organization’s incident response transparency and strict audit readiness.
This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.
The salary range for this position is $43,400-63,000 and will be determined based on location and experience level.

What you’ll be responsible for:
- Translate live technical data into clear, concise, client-facing updates under tight deadlines.
- Manage communication approvals and partner with legal, security, and business units to ensure a unified "One Jack Henry" response.
- Utilize approved tools to draft, distribute, and archive compliance reports, incident records, and FBA regulatory responses.
- Compile and deliver audit-ready data and communication artifacts for related Enterprise Risk Organization for Enterprise Resilience Office (ERO) requests.
- Attend Review, Learn, Improve (RLI) postmortems to gather feedback and optimize deliverables.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to rapidly activate incident protocols when needed.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
- 1 year of experience in communications, customer service, administrative support, IT support, incident management, reporting, or a related business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally in written and verbal formats, including drafting emails, reports, or customer-facing communications.
- Basic experience using Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook, to organize information, track activities, and prepare reports.

- Beginning the learning process to use relevant job-related concepts; works on problems of limited scope and complexity. Follows defined procedures and practices, typically with no deviation. Work assignments are routine in nature.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and a natural aptitude for professional collaboration.
- Capable of learning and utilizing spreadsheets, reporting tools, and metric-related programs to accurately compile and report on data.
- Capable of researching and resolving standard routine inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere strictly to established policies and procedures while reliably maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive materials and information
