Are you seeking an opportunity to join a dynamic and high-performing project management team that is at the forefront of implementing game-changing projects?  If so, this position might be perfect for you! Jack Henry is hiring a Strategic Project Manager III to join the Corporate Program Management Office in the Enterprise Services team.  

As a Strategic Project Manager, you will support projects and workstreams related to our large-scale Corporate IT systems transformation programs. In this role, you will ensure that the project’s approach, plans, and tactical execution are communicated effectively and align with the Program leadership’s vision. 

A successful PM will have a deep understanding of predictive (waterfall) project management and experience developing and executing on these processes and artifacts.  This candidate is comfortable in a technical domain and has demonstrated success in software implementation projects.  The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, comfortable leading detailed technical planning sessions and developing plans for tactical team level execution.   

You will need strong organizational skills, detail oriented tactical mindset, with the ability to understand complex directions and execute plans accordingly.  

This position will have a salary range of $90,000-120,000 based on experience and location.

What you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Manages projects & workstreams associated with our CRM transformation program.  
  • Coordinates departmental and/or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new solutions and corporate processes.   
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive plans and schedules, identifies specific milestones, and guides the team at a tactical level through the project. 
  • Identifying and mitigating risks and issues through detailed planning, active management and escalation as necessary. 
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation, including management plans, reports, records, and teams' sites.   
  • Work with Program Manager, Project & Program sponsor, and Executive Sponsorship to ensure project & program interdependencies are actively tracked and managed. 
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.  

What you’ll need to have: 

  • Minimum of four years of experience in project management.
  • Associate’s degree required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% to attend meetings, training, and/or visits to other Jack Henry office locations.
  • Experience managing software implementation projects through predictive project management techniques. 
  • Expertise with project scheduling tools (Smartsheet, Microsoft Planner/Project, Jira, Asana, Trello, etc.).
  • Familiarity with waterfall project management methodology and approach.

What would be nice for you to have: 

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to focus on the details.
  • Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
  • Strong understanding of industry project management practices and company policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and O365. 
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of Agile project management techniques.
  • General knowledge of software development/IT practices and procedures.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Able to identify and resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Able to interact with senior internal and external personnel.
