We’re reinventing the way people interact with their finances, and we could use your help. Working at Jack Henry offers you a chance to think about and solve fascinating, important problems. Here, everyone has a voice, a chance to ask tough questions, and an opportunity to innovate.

We are committed to creativity, thoughtfulness, culture, and openness — the perfect place to make phenomenal products that have a big impact. Our work environment echoes a modern tech start-up, but we have the security and benefits of a large, publicly traded company. We place high value on continued education and contribute to, and use, open-source projects.

As Senior Web Developer on the Product Go-to-Market (GTM) team, you will be the technical architect driving the rapid evolution and scaling of critical web properties like banno.com and knowledge.banno.com. This high-impact role involves designing and implementing secure, dynamic content systems and website structures using core web technologies and Static Site Generators. You will serve as the team’s lead development strategist, contributing essential engineering and UX/UI expertise to guide growth. You will also ensure operational stability by helping guide the deployment pipeline, from troubleshooting broken builds to collaborating with other teams to enhance processes. Your impact also includes maintaining strict integrity and security for all content and code within GitHub repositories and empowering non-developers on the GTM team through technical assistance, training, and comprehensive documentation.

All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.

Additionally, some light travel (up to 15%) may be required for quarterly team meetup events.

This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Louisville, KY: Cedar Falls, IA; Birmingham, AL; Lombard, IL; Charlotte, NC; Lenexa, KS; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Develop content systems and structures: Develop dynamic content systems and website structures for new and existing sites, including but not limited to banno.com and knowledge.banno.com, using core web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, and HTML) within the framework of a Static Site Generator (SSG) such as Hugo, Jekyll, or Astro; additionally, creatively build secure, detail-oriented development structures based on established and approved designs that help the aforementioned sites evolve and scale at a rapid but hyper-efficient pace.
  • Serve as the team’s development strategist: Contribute thoughtful feedback to regular UX and UI growth and scale discussions from an engineering and development perspective.
  • Drive AI-driven efficiency: Spearhead the research, development, and implementation of AI-driven tools and processes that enhance efficiency and scale in the maintenance, documentation, and overall output of our websites.

  • Provide team technical assistance: Provide occasional technical assistance to non-developers (including fellow members of the Product GTM team) who author content; such assistance may involve training team members on tool usage as well as troubleshooting issues with relied-upon tools or markdown/HTML syntax errors.
  • Document information and processes: Work with other members of the Product Content Strategy (PCS) arm of the Product GTM team to document development-related aspects of the Product GTM authorship experience, from module use instructions to style guide content.
  • Maintain GitHub: Maintain and manage all content and code stored in GitHub repositories, adhering to strict processes for merging new content and code, and implementing/maintaining security measures, GitHub Actions, and repository processes.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.
