DevEx Platform Engineering Apprentice

Our Developer Experience Platform team focuses on providing self-service tooling, Slackbots, automations that empower the developers we support to deploy their services as fast as possible. To continue our mission to empower our developers, we are working to centralize and develop self-service tools in Backstage, our internal developer platform.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
During this apprenticeship, the apprentice will focus on learning and supporting the DevEx platform team through the following types of work:
What You'll Need to Have:
All apprentice candidates must:
- Be able to work in the U.S. without any sponsorship or need for future sponsorship.
- Meet legal requirements to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period of time
- Basic understanding of or exposure to at least one backend or frontend programming language (such as Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js)
- Familiarity with fundamental software engineering tools, such as version control using Git and GitHub.
- Exposure to web development basics (like React, HTML, or CSS)
What Would Be Nice for you to Have:
- Conceptual knowledge of or exposure to modern cloud environments (e.g.: GCP, AWS, or Azure) or containerization tools like Docker.
- Basic familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts or pipeline tooling.
