Jack Henry & Associates is adding an Aviation Maintenance Technician to its growing Flight Department, based at the Monett, MO Regional Airport. This role supports a modern business aviation operation flying a mixed fleet of Embraer Phenom 300 and Praetor 500 aircraft under ISBAO certification, a mature Safety Management System (SMS), and a FOQA program.

This position is hands‑on and maintenance‑focused, responsible for keeping the flying fleet mission‑ready through scheduled inspections, routine maintenance, and aircraft repairs, all performed in‑house alongside an experienced aviation team. The role offers long‑term stability, exposure to advanced aircraft, and the chance to contribute to a department that values safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

This is an onsite position, and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office location in Monett, MO.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Ensures all maintenance operations are conducted safely.
  • Responsible for determining airworthiness and safety of the aircraft for each flight.
  • Maintains the company’s aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer’s continuing airworthiness instructions, federal aviation regulations, company directives and the highest standards of airworthiness and appearance.
  • Responsible for the strict adherence to the inspection system employed for assigned aircraft.
  • Complies with the manufacturers’ technical data, FAR, and other applicable safety rules.
  • Performs the maintenance duties including preflight, post flight, departure, recovery, interval inspections and aircraft repairs.
  • Completes airworthiness directives issues by the FAA and mandatory service bulletins issued by the manufacturer.
  • Ships, receives and inspects aircraft parts.
  • Maintains inventory of consumables (such as grease, gaskets, and filters).
  • Operates ground support equipment.
  • Performs log book research; maintains and completes accurate and comprehensive log book entries.
  • Keeps current in all categories and class of certifications and maintain good standing, including FAA Mechanic certificate and Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:

  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) rating. 
  • Minimum 18 months of aviation maintenance experience in a professional or educational setting.
  • Completion of 1,400 hours of formal aviation maintenance training.
  • Ability to work a rotating flex schedule, including: 
  • One week of days, two weeks of evenings.
  • Every third weekend (rotating).
  • Availability for nights and holidays as required.
  • Live within one hour drive time (approximately 70 miles) of Monett Municipal Airport. 
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel occasionally.
  • Ability to perform aircraft maintenance in compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and working in confined or elevated spaces. 
  • Willingness to work in environments that may include noise, fumes, chemicals, and outdoor conditions.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate.
  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Aviation Maintenance or a related field. 
  • Experience supporting corporate or business aircraft.
  • Familiarity with SMS, FOQA, or ISBAO‑operated flight departments.
  • Experience with Embraer aircraft or comparable turbine platforms.
  • Ability to perform aircraft inspections and maintenance in compliance with FAA regulations and established inspection programs.
