About The Program
This is a 10-week program that begins June 3, 2019. This is a paid opportunity where a college student learns through application. JHA interns are fully immersed in the day to day activities of the business unit they are working in. Throughout the duration of the program, students will build upon their current skillsets and work in a collaborative environment while learning from subject matter experts across the organization. JHA Corporate Interns will participate in projects and company objectives that will result in creative solutions that inspire innovation both at JHA and across the FinTech industry.
The program kicks off with an orientation that will allow students to learn more about JHA’s award-winning company culture and three brands – Jack Henry Banking, Symitar, and ProfitStars. The internship will end with a trip to the corporate headquarters and a student led presentation. This presentation is an opportunity for all interns to showcase their internship experience with other JHA Associate’s.
The iPay Service Desk at JHA is seeking a technical-minded, yet innovative student for their Corporate Internship Program. This group loves innovative ideas and enjoys collaboration, while having FUN!
Working in the iPay Service Desk team as a Software Engineer Intern will provide a college student with the opportunity to work directly with JHA’s various financial technologies and craft contemporary improvements for customer satisfaction. The Corporate Intern will be embedded into a Scrum/Agile team and participate in all phases of the development cycle. The chosen candidate will also learn how to eliminate tasks they commit to for a given sprint and collaborate with team members for continued support.
This intern will be able to use development coursework and apply it towards fixing and enhancing the iPay product group’s apps. In addition, an intern will directly work within the iPay Maintenance Team – Team Mobius – to troubleshoot reported issues with iPay applications and initiate code changes for various objectives.
The Intern will be working directly in the Maintenance Scrum Team alongside experienced engineers and learn JHA’s Scrum/Agile process in a live, interactive work environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Developer. This team has a passion for sharing knowledge and swarming to help other team members that need assistance and/or subject matter expertise.
To truly thrive in this opportunity, a college student must have strong working knowledge in:
Attend an accredited college or university.
Pursue a bachelor’s degree in: Computer Science, Computer Information Science, Software Engineering, Computer Systems Administration, Programming, or Web/Mobile Development.
Have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
Remain in good academic standing throughout internship.
Meet JHA employment requirements.
Be able to work up to 40 hours per week throughout the summer internship.
Be able to travel 25% of the time.
Be a junior or senior student (sophomore year completed) at the beginning of internship.
Meet legal requirements to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period of time.
