About The Program
This is a 10-week program that begins June 3, 2019. This is a paid opportunity where a college student learns through application. JHA interns are fully immersed in the day to day activities of the business unit they are working in. Throughout the duration of the program, students will build upon their current skillsets and work in a collaborative environment while learning from subject matter experts across the organization. JHA Corporate Interns will participate in projects and company objectives that will result in creative solutions that inspire innovation both at JHA and across the FinTech industry.
The program kicks off with an orientation that will allow students to learn more about JHA’s award-winning company culture and three brands – Jack Henry Banking, Symitar, and ProfitStars. The internship will end with a trip to the corporate headquarters and a student led presentation. This presentation is an opportunity for all interns to showcase their internship experience with other JHA Associate’s.

 

Internship Description
The iPay product group at JHA is seeking a technical-minded, yet creative student for their Corporate Internship Program. This group loves innovative ideas and enjoys collaboration, while having FUN! A qualified candidate will gain an opportunity to experience many aspects of .Net and voice skills programming. 

JHA’s iPay product group is an industry leading provider of online bill pay solutions already used by approximately 4,000 financial institutions and is also the leading provider of online banking platforms. This team delivers cutting edge and contemporary solutions that are enabling FI’s across the country to enhance their digital banking experience, strengthen competitive positioning in the markets they serve, decrease operating skills while increasing operating efficiencies, and replace physical payment and check processing systems with an interactive digital solution.
 

Through mentorship and student-led application, a college student will participate in the technical design and implementation of innovative new products and enhancements to current products. A Corporate Intern will participate in all phases of the development cycle, including: concept, technical design, prototype, code development, testing, and release to QA and implementation. The main objective will be proof of concept to migrate and setup cloud and AI application for the team. This objective will allow the chosen college student to combine what they have learned in the academia setting relating to cloud technologies and AI to the corporate setting. The Corporate Intern will be expected to participate and lead the initiative of vetting out the best option for cloud migration, including: AWS, Azure, AI, and other third party cloud software. 

Minimum Qualifications
Students Must:
- Attend an accredited college or university.
- Pursue a bachelor’s degree in: Computer Science, Computer Information Science, Software Engineering, Computer Systems Administration,    Programming, or Web/Mobile Development.
- Have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
- Remain in good academic standing throughout internship.
- Meet JHA employment requirements.
- Be able to work up to 40 hours per week throughout the summer internship.
- Be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Be a junior or senior student (sophomore year completed) at the beginning of internship.
- Meet legal requirements to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period of time.
