Technical Business Analyst

If so, the Technical Business Analyst role could be the right fit for you!  Reporting to the Audit Support Manager of Security & Compliance Services, candidates in this position will be a hands-on contributor who will provide support for the design and enhancements of automated processes within the organization’s GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) platform.  Candidates will be the main point of contact to assist with process and procedure documentation, as well as mapping of data/information into the GRC system. This candidate will be the liaison between internal customers (e.g., enterprise risk team, corporate audit services and business units) and the GRC support team. 

The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively across a diverse team to gather business requirements, conduct process mapping, use cases, etc. with the intent to facilitate the eventual automation and documentation of product and system requirements.

About this Team:

Working as part of the Security & Compliance Services, reporting to the Information Security Senior Manager, this team is responsible for compliance, audit engagement management, security and operational monitoring as well as performance analysis and packet capture.  There are currently just under 20 individuals within the department, with associates located primarily in Monett and Springfield, MO.


This position can be worked out of the following Jack Henry offices; Lenexa, KS, Springfield, MO, Monett, MO or Allen, TX.


  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a technical business analyst, systems analyst, technical analyst or product analyst.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% to attend conferences or process mapping with team, more local travel.


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Understanding of SDLC preferred. 
  • Familiarity with automation processes. 


  • Interacts with customers to gather system requirements.
  • Defines the system and functional requirements of the product.
  • Prepares business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Serves as a resource and/or participant in business process re-design activities. Assists the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.
  • May perform application, system and regression tests.
  • Responsible for creating business requirements and system documentation, as well as contributing to end-user and project management documentation.
  • Works with quality assurance and programming teams to ensure changes are migrated into production correctly.
  • Interacts with technical teams to convey business requirements.
  • Works with industry research groups to prepare for product trends.
