Are you seeking an opportunity to join a dynamic and high-performing project management team that is at the forefront of implementing game-changing projects?  If so, this position might be perfect for you! Jack Henry is hiring a Sr. Strategic Project Manager to join the Corporate Program Management Office. 

As a Sr. Strategic Project Manager, you will be instrumental in leading projects and workstreams related to our enterprise wide IT systems transformation programs. In this role, you will work closely with program management and leadership to ensure that the project’s approach, plans, and tactical execution are communicated effectively and align with the program’s vision.

This position will be working in a Hybrid project management environment, managing specific projects & workstreams that fall within a larger Customer Service Management (CSM) transformation program.  To be successful, the PM must have a deep understanding and experience executing on predictive (waterfall) and Agile project management principles, processes, and techniques.   

This candidate is comfortable in a technical domain and has demonstrated success in enterprise software implementation projects.  Experience in implementing Enterprise SaaS solutions (ServiceNow, Salesforce, Oracle, Workday, SAP, etc) is a definite plus.  

The ideal candidate will have a highly “detail oriented” mindset and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex project schedules, risk/issues, and cross project/program interfaces. This candidate is a strong communicator, comfortable leading detailed technical planning sessions and developing detailed plans for tactical team level execution.   

This position will have a salary range of $113,000-135,000 based on experience and location.

What you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Meticulously manage projects and workstreams associated with our CSM transformation program.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive and highly detailed plans and schedules, identifying specific milestones, and guiding the team at a tactical level through the project.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues through detailed planning, active management, and escalation as necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and highly detailed project artifacts, including management plans, reports, records, and team sites.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager, Project & Program Sponsor, and Executive Sponsorship to ensure project and program interdependencies are actively tracked and managed.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.  

What you’ll need to have: 

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management.
  • Associate’s degree required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% to attend meetings, training, and/or visits to other Jack Henry office locations.
  • Experience managing enterprise caliber software implementation projects. 
  • Expertise with Hybrid, Predictive and Agile project management methodologies and approaches.

What would be nice for you to have: 

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to focus on the details.
  • Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management tools (Smartsheet, Microsoft Planner/Project, Jira, Assana, Trello, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of industry project management practices and company policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and O365. 
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or ServiceNow.
  • Able to identify and resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Able to interact with senior internal and external personnel.
