Are you looking for an opportunity to join a challenging and strong project management team?  If so, this position might be perfect for you!  Jack Henry is hiring a Senior Strategic Project Manager to join our Corporate Program Management Office in the Enterprise Services team. This role focuses on leading strategic internal programs, projects, and initiatives utilizing both agile and traditional methodologies.  

This Strategic Project Manager will lead a diverse range of programs and projects variety of projects, including IT infrastructure, data center builds/migration, cloud migrations, software selection and implementation, security, and software development projects.  Initially, this position will have a significant focus on supporting our Salesforce Implementation.

In addition to significant experience leading Salesforce implementations, the ideal candidate has experience in managing concurrent high-visibility projects in a fast-paced environment using agile and traditional waterfall methods that may cross multiple business divisions.  

This candidate has strong critical thinking abilities as well as high level of emotional intelligence to successfully identify and navigate various project risks and issues and lead them to successful resolution.  This candidate is comfortable in a technical domain, has an aptitude for learning new technologies/concepts, and is an expert at building partnerships with our stakeholders.  The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, comfortable leading detailed technical planning sessions as well as presenting to all levels of JH’s Senior Leadership. 

This position can be worked out of any Jack Henry office location or remote within the US.  

This position will have a salary range of $92,600-$135,000 based on experience and location. 

What you'll be responsible for: 

  • Primarily manages software development and software implementation projects but may also manage the implementation of new or upgraded infrastructure, IT services, security, cloud, facilities, and implementation of corporate processes.
  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending. 
  • Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project is on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Provides mentoring and support to other project managers in dealing with project management issues for their assigned projects.
  • Demonstrates excellent program and project management (Agile and Traditional) skills.
  • Leads and facilitates Agile processes and sprint ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint reviews, retros, grooming sessions, etc.).
  • Leads and facilitates SAFe processes and ceremonies (PI Planning, System Demos, ART syncs.).
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have: 

  • Must have a minimum of 6 years of project or program management experience in a technical environment with a focus on software development projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP) or equivalent project/program/agile certification.
  • Must have experience with SAFe framework and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Must be able to travel up to 15% to attend meetings, training, and/or visits to other Jack Henry office locations. 

What would be nice for you to have: 

  • SAFe certification (SPC, RTE, LPM, SSM).
  • 5+ years of experience implementing enterprise wide IT systems (CRM, ERP, HCM).
  • Agile experience and certifications (PMI – ACP, CSM, or other Agile industry certifications/credentials). 
  • Experience utilizing project management principles, tools, techniques, and frameworks, or project lifecycle.
  • Experience implementing SAFe (essential, solution, portfolio configurations)
  • Experience using traditional (MS Project, Changepoint, Planview, Smartsheet, others) and Agile (Azure DevOps, Jira) project management tools.
