Senior Project Analyst

We’re looking for a Senior Project Analyst who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and enjoys being at the center of impactful work. This role plays a key part in coordinating and executing installations of new financial institutions (FIs) converting to CPS, as well as managing updates to existing ones. You’ll work closely with software engineering teams, contributing to product requirements and design, project management efforts and potentially leading sprint management initiatives in the future. The team operates within a web-based UI and mainframe environment, handling client data updates and ensuring seamless system enhancements. Under minimal supervision, you’ll partner with customers and internal departments to translate business needs into clear, actionable specifications. You’ll also manage projects from conception through implementation, support database accuracy and cleanup efforts, and assist technical business analysts on development initiatives. This is a remote position, and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Lenexa, KS; Springfield, MO; Monett, MO; Birmingham, AL; Louisville, KY; Charlotte, NC; or Cedar Falls; IA.
The salary range for this position is $86,464- $129,959 and will be determined based on location and experience level.

What you’ll be responsible for:
- Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Prepares work-effort estimates and solution approaches.
- Performs needs analysis to develop design specifications for projects. Defines the system and functional requirements of the product. Performs requirements gathering, project scoping and translates requirements into business specifications.
- Performs project management duties from feasibility analysis through implementation.
- Defines specifications and workflow models for product development.
- Coordinates the development, quality assurance and testing efforts to ensure conformance with design specifications and performance standards.
- Creates all requirements and business design documentation.
- Coordinates the creation of training support documentation and implementation plans.
- Serves as liaison between end users and development (technical and non-technical departments) during all phases of the product lifecycle
- Presents periodic project updates to senior management.
- May assist less experienced peers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience within a payments or fintech organization, with a strong understanding of industry operations and client needs.
- Proven experience in project management, software installation, or implementation coordination, ideally in a technical or client-facing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout project lifecycles.
- Hands-on experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, execution, and issue resolution.
- Skilled in acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, translating business requirements into technical deliverables.
What would be nice for you to have:
- Familiarity with debit and credit card processing, including transaction flows and system integrations.
- Knowledge of JH (Jack Henry) products and services.
- Experience in project management or installation coordination within a technical or client-facing role.
- Exposure to sprint management or agile methodologies, with the ability to support or lead sprint planning and execution.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple work efforts simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and driving progress across concurrent initiatives.
