Operations Manager

This position will manage two or more of the following areas, including but not limited to: successful implementation of products and services, technical support of products and services, application training to customers, maintenance of application code, network field engineering services and/or software application releases.
This position can be worked remotely within the United States with a schedule of 8am-5pm PST and does require you to be available for support after hours.
This position has a salary range of $80,000-$115,000 based on experience and location.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Oversees the daily department function. Directs staff in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures and programs. Adheres to both company policy and governmental regulations concerning department and direct employee activities. Manages departmental structure, workforce planning, career development, training, planning and budgeting. Responsible for department budget. Performs hiring, firing, objective setting, performance appraisals, coaching and pay reviews.
- Oversees accurate and timely installations of new or enhanced products and services. Ensures installations meet customer expectations and are in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
- Ensures the successful migration of customer data.
- Manages post-sales technical product support activities and facilitates resolution of technical problems on any and all products.
- Ensures all questions regarding functionality are thoroughly researched and resolved.
- May oversee the release of new software products to user base.
- May oversee employees responsible for making changes or updates to application code.
- May oversee the delivery of software application training to customers.
- May support the sales process with pertinent information such as quotes, installation dates, and may participate in sales meetings.
- May oversee customer OS upgrades and core software upgrades.
- Handling of customer escalations.
- May Oversee the daily operation of one or more departments. Direct staff in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures and programs. Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results including costs, methods and staffing. Adheres to both company policy and governmental regulations concerning department and direct employee activities. Manages departmental structure, workforce planning, career development, training, planning and budgeting. Responsible for department budget. Performs hiring, firing, objective setting, performance appraisals, coaching and pay reviews.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in information technology.
- Previous people leadership experience.
- Must be able to work after hours and weekends as the business need dictates.
- Strong organizational skills and must be able to write and execute a business plan .
What would be nice for you to have:
- Understanding of networking.
- Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the installation processes and procedures, as well as, post-sales support of products and services.
- Able to oversee a successful implementation.
- Able to oversee outstanding post-sales support of products and services.
- Able to function in a fast-paced, demanding environment with multiple priorities.
- Able to ensure customers receive outstanding customer service.
