Join Our Team as a Hardware Sales Operations Specialist!

Are you passionate about optimizing sales processes and delivering exceptional client experiences? We’re looking for a Hardware Sales Operations Specialist to join our high-performing team dedicated to driving sales efficiency and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the end-to-end quote-to-cash process and maintenance sales activities related to third-party hardware, software, and services. What you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Manage third-party hardware and software maintenance and service sales activities of moderate complexity, engaging with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and review service offering configurations, quotes and proposals, ensuring accurate contract details, as well as managing client contracts and engagements.
  • Proactively manage customer relationships, identifying opportunities for new and renewal maintenance sales. 
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Sales Operations teams to support the creation of sales proposals and contracts, preparing detailed third-party product quotes.
  • Manage and coordinate customer orders, working cross-functionally to address client needs, ensuring orders adhere to agreements, and facilitating timely shipping, delivery, and revenue recognition.
  • Gather and review product information from manufacturers and distributors, summarizing and sharing insights with Sales and other departments.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned. 

What you’ll need to have: 

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales operations, order management, or a related role within a technology-focused environment, preferably supporting the resale of hardware, software, or third-party services. 
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to attend business meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.

What would be nice for you to have: 

  • Proficiency with CRM, QTC and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, PeopleSoft FSCM).
  • Intermediate level of proficiency using Microsoft 365 (e.g., Teams, Word, Excel). 
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and managing hardware/software sales transactions.
  • Knowledge of pricing models, contract terms, and compliance requirements in a sales environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with quote-to-cash and sales lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of IBM Power, Storage and Service solutions. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
