Our iPay team is currently transitioning to a modern, cloud-based infrastructure while continuing to support our legacy server systems. We're looking for a talented and driven individual to join us in this effort. This role will involve maintaining existing systems and infrastructure, supporting migration projects, building pipelines, and identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement. The ideal candidate is passionate about streamlining legacy sysadmin tasks, eager to expand their experience in the DevOps space, and excited to grow alongside a forward-thinking team.

This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Birmingham, AL; Cedar Falls, IA; Charlotte, NC; Lenexa, KS; Louisville, KY; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.

The salary range for this position is $71,100- $112,000. This posted salary range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay we reasonably expect to offer for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary above or below this range and is subject to change in the future. Individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, work schedule, travel requirements, sales or revenue targets, and overall business needs and affordability.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Continuous Integration and Deployment:

• Participate in the Design, implement, and maintain automation tools and frameworks for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of software.
• Work closely with development and shared services teams to streamline the build and release process.

Infrastructure Management:

• Monitor and manage infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
• Work closely with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment, and operations.
• Implement and maintain version control systems, configuration management tools, and other DevOps-related technologies.

System Administration:

• Leverage system administration skills, particularly in Microsoft and Linux environments.
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors and provide technical support.
• Work with team to develop tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues related to internal back-end systems.

Automation and Scripting:

• Develop scripts to automate visualization and other repetitive tasks.
• A proficiency in scripting languages is a plus.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and address bottlenecks in the release process.
• Communicate effectively with team members and document processes.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of technical experience in systems administration, systems engineering, DevOps, or a combination thereof.
• Must have experience with Windows and/or Linux server administration.
• Must have experience with or (GCP Preferred), Azure, or AWS.
• Associate degree.
• Ability to travel up to 5% for occasional team meetings and training events.
• Ability to work typical Eastern Time hours (8am-5pm).

• Experience scripting for automation.
• Troubleshooting release pipeline skills.
• Experience patching servers and patching automation.
