Join a purpose-driven team shaping the future of responsible business. As a Corporate Sustainability Specialist II, you'll be a vital contributor to our ambitious sustainability strategy. In this dynamic role, you’ll help drive our climate initiatives, oversee the corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, and support philanthropic programs that uplift communities. You'll also collaborate on high-impact projects that elevate our sustainability performance across the board.
Your work will directly influence our corporate sustainability reporting and help embed ethical, environmentally conscious practices into everyday operations. What you’ll be responsible for:
- Supports the corporate climate program, including contributing to emissions forecasting, strategy development, and tracking progress towards achieving climate targets.
- Manages the corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, including data collection, calculation, analysis, and reporting in accordance with recognized standards.
- Assists in identifying, assessing, and monitoring climate-related risks and opportunities across business operations.
- Supports the development and implementation of various environmental stewardship, human rights, business ethics, and other corporate sustainability-related efforts and initiatives.
- Supports the company's philanthropy program, assisting with community engagement initiatives, donation administration, and tracking impact.
- Researches and monitors corporate sustainability regulations, best practices, and reporting frameworks to ensure compliance and identify emerging trends.
- Supports the preparation of comprehensive corporate sustainability reports and disclosures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant reporting frameworks.
- Collaborates with internal departments to integrate corporate sustainability considerations into business processes and decision-making.
- Supports various special projects related to corporate sustainability, from concept development through execution and post-implementation review.
- Develops and delivers presentations or training materials on corporate sustainability topics to internal stakeholders.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
- Minimum of 18 months of experience in corporate sustainability, environmental science, corporate social responsibility, business ethics, or community engagement within an organizational setting.
- Must have experience with data analysis and reporting focused on non-financial metrics (e.g. environmental performance, social impact)
- Must have project coordination experience for initiatives related to sustainability or corporate responsibility.
What would be nice for you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability Studies, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Ability to proficiently analyze and interpret complex data sets, particularly related to environmental metrics and social impact, and generate clear, concise reports.
- Research & Problem-Solving: Adept at researching and synthesizing information on sustainability topics, regulations, and best practices to resolve questions and identify effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Communication & Collaboration: Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences and collaborate across various internal and external stakeholders.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to support and manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Technical Proficiency: Competent in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and capable of quickly learning new sustainability-related software or platforms for data management and reporting.
- Ethical Judgment: Exercises sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information related to business ethics, human rights, and company data.
