As a UI/UX Developer III- Core Development at Jack Henry, you’ll have the opportunity to drive innovation and build platforms that will help financial institutions innovate faster, differentiate strategically, and advocate for their members and communities. You’ll collaborate cross functionally with a diverse team of engineers, architects, leaders, product managers and customers to ensure we deliver high quality software that meets the needs of our users.
Our engineers manage cloud and/or on-prem solutions and are responsible for writing clean, maintainable code, implementing new features, resolving bugs, and fostering collaboration within the team. Successful engineers will have strong technical skills and effective grasp of software design principles, object-oriented programming concepts, and testing methodologies. Depending on the product group areas you contribute to, you'll have the opportunity to code in various modern languages and leverage cutting edge tools such as Scala, C#, Java, Ruby, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, Go, Docker, Kubernetes, Swagger/OpenAPI, Node.js, Redis, Postgres, Azure, Google Cloud (GCP) and more.

UI/UX Developer III- Core Development

Our Core Development team is hiring a Mid-Level UI Software Engineer to help shape the future of our user interface and user experience across key banking platforms. In this role, you’ll contribute to enhancing and evolving our UI/UX products, working closely with a dynamic development team that leads the visual and interactive direction for multiple applications.
Our team delivers high-quality, intuitive solutions for flagship platforms including SilverLake, CIF 2020, jhaCall Center, and our enterprise mobile app Branch Anywhere. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other developers, product experts, and clients, to design and implement UI solutions that elevate the user experience for Jack Henry’s core banking products.
This is a remote position, and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO; Allen, TX; Charlotte, NC; Louisville, KY; Cedar Falls; IA; or Birmingham, AL.
All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Completing product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolutions.
- Working closely on a team of Software Engineers and Business Quality Analysts.
- Providing both technical expertise and direction.
- Researching new technologies and developing new product solutions.
- Ensuring timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production, both at an individual and team level.
- Mentoring other team members.
- Driving the vision for our cloud-first strategy.
- May contribute to product architecture.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
- Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
- Must have experience with WPF, CI/CD Strategies, Azure, C#, or JavaScript.
What would be nice for you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, information systems, and/or computer science.
- Experience with Jack Henry products and services that include SilverLake or CIF20/20.
- Experience with Agile Development Methodologies.
- Experience with Architecting Microservices.
- Knowledge of US/UX design principles.
- Experience with application security in a hosted environment.
