The Corporate Project Management Office, comprised of over 70 dedicated professionals, fosters a collaborative and supportive culture. We are focused on driving business success and adding value in everything we do. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that directly impact our strategic goals, collaborating with experienced team members to gain hands-on experience in project management processes and methodologies. You'll play a key role in driving initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization, all while contributing to our mission of delivering value to our stakeholders.
Interns at Jack Henry earn $25.00 per hour and work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The Summer 2026 Internship Program will run from June 1 through August 7, with positions based onsite at our Springfield or Monett, Missouri offices.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Gain a solid understanding of basic project management concepts, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and terminology.
- Support the planning process by helping create and maintain project schedules, timelines, and resource plans.
- Help in preparing and maintaining project documentation including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Actively engage in project team meetings to understand team dynamics and project progress.
- Learn to monitor and report on project progress, identifying potential risks and issues.
What you’ll need to have:
- Pursuing a degree in: Project Management, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Finance
- Demonstrated foundational knowledge or early experience in relevant areas of interest (e.g., IT Systems, Infrastructure, Cloud Environments, IT Security, SDLC, Software Engineering).
- Must be a U.S. citizen and not require sponsorship for employment authorization now or in the future.
What would be nice for you to have:
- Ability to self-direct, lead projects, interact and build relationships across the organization at different levels of seniority.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to listen, analyze, evaluate, and form independent judgments when planning work.
- General understanding of business operations, IT operations and infrastructure, software engineering, SDLC, and/or IT security
