Accounting Supervisor

Jack Henry is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Accounting Supervisor to join the Customer Contract & Relationship Management (CCRM) team. The CCRM team provides contract management and billing support to the finance, operational and sales teams. This position leads and collaborates with a team of Contract Entry professionals to ensure the accuracy of customer billing each month. Additionally, the position will have an eye for the future as the CCRM team continues to leverage advanced tools and technologies to automate and standardize processes.
To be successful, this individual will need to be a self-starter, have a process improvement mindset and be a strong team leader. This role requires a detailed-oriented individual with excellent analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other leadership peers.
This position will be filled to work a Hybrid schedule at any of the following Jack Henry office locations: Monett, MO / Springfield, MO / Allen, TX or Lenexa, KS and you are required to go into the office once a week for onsite collaboration, meetings, events, and or training.
The target salary range for this position is $59,750 – $85,000 based on experience and location.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Oversees basic accounting functions, which could include preparing and posting entries to the GL, accurately codes and pays invoices, calculates revenue recognition, accurately interprets, enters and/or reviews contracts, and produces customer invoices.
- Monitors assigned general ledger accounts. Reconciles detail reports to general ledger on a monthly basis.
- Prepares journal entries to re-class items and correct system errors as necessary.
- Coordinates with other areas in accounting to complete reconciliations.
- Prepares month-end analysis and reporting. Monitors and assists with processing during month-end close.
- Assists managers in resolving issues in area of responsibility. Discusses transactions with managers to properly classify transactions.
- Assists with staffing and scheduling of responsibilities of teammates.
- Assists other departments with preparation and processing as needed.
- May assist with hiring and firing decisions.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you'll need to have:
- Must have a minimum of 6 years of combination of experience in managing data of contracts, accounting (revenue recognition / produce customer invoices), general ledger, reconciliation of accounting detail.
- Proficiency in utilizing Excel (extensive formulas, macros, data management).
- Must be able to work weekends and nights as business needs require, to support month-end close procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be able to travel up to 5% to attend Jack Henry meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.
