We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Digital and CTO line of business. This is the group developing the most cutting-edge products as Jack Henry continues to push the envelope of what is possible in the financial technology world.

 The Senior Financial Analyst will join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team supporting this group with annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, performing expense analysis, compiling reports, and ad-hoc data analysis. Learning the intricacies of this business unit and how we support them will take time and careful attention to detail, and an individual who is passionate and able to learn and prioritize quickly will emerge as an incredibly strong and well-rounded analyst. This position will be hybrid requiring you to come into the office 1 time a month for team meetings and collaboration.  You will need to attend Finance meetings allocated by your manager.  The position will be filled to work out of one of the following Jack Henry office locations: Lenexa, KS/ Monett, MO / Springfield, MO and or Allen, TX.  We have corporate flight shuttles you can take to travel conveniently between office locations.  

Salary range for this position is $70,916 - $105,000 depending on candidate experience and geographic location. 

What you'll be responsible for: 

  • Performs financial analyses on cash flow, operating results, and business plans.
  • Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control.
  • Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts and various categories of net revenue and expense.
  • Evaluates and analyzes revenue, operating expenses, product profitability, capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc.
  • Documents revenues and expected expenditures and prepares summary statements and documents.
  • Acts as a consultant to management on financial policies, procedures, and applications.
  • Prepares special studies, analyses, and recommendations for budgets, business forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, and statistical reports.
  • May perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
  • May prepare and present management reporting packages to senior management team, and provide recommendations to management based on analysis.
  • May assist, train, and develop less experienced peers.  May act as a team lead.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration. 
  • Must have a minimum 6 years of experience in the following finance categories: Finance Operations, Corporate Finance, or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) such as annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, performing expense analysis, management reporting.
  • Intermediate Excel experience required such as vLookups, sumif and Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Must be able to work extended hours as business needs dictate and have the ability to work late evening/overtime.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to attend internal business meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.

What would be nice for you to have:  

  • CPA or MBA
  • Experience in the financial and/or fintech industry.
  • Experience with OneStream.
