Are you a Systems Implementation Engineer with a passion for the financial industry?  The ProfitStars business unit is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Gladiator Network Engineer Hosted Solutions group.  Gladiator is known for providing all of its Jack Henry branded clients with top tier network, system and cloud hosted solution technologies and an excellent customer experience.  We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and love to work closely with clients and develop strong relationships with their team members.

The Systems Implementation Engineer executes required tasks to successfully implement Gladiator’s Hosted Network Services(HNS) solution or provide systems solutions within a customers’ environment.  The Engineer provides high-level support in a pre, current or post sales implementation environment and is involved in all phases of the implementation project from initiation to close-out. Jack Henry provides strong opportunity for career progression not only within Gladiator but across the organization as well. The following are examples of where you could progress to: Solutions Architect / Project Management/ IT Security / Network Engineer or progress within Systems Engineer.

This position will be filled to work out of any of the following Jack Henry office locations:  Springfield, MO (Blackman) or Remote. 


  • Must be able to travel up to 50% to conduct systems implementations and you may potentially attend offsite training and or professional conferences.
  • Must have experience managing projects or acting as a team lead.
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in systems or cloud engineering field.
  • Must have experience with each of the following that are listed: VMware vSphere and or ESXi /  VMware vCenter / VMWare Horizon  View or VMWare Horizon and or VM Ware VDI or VDI.
  • Must have experience with each of the following that are listed:  Microsoft RDS and or Remote Desktop or Remote Desktop Services OR must have Citrix experience.
  • Must have experience with each of the following that are listed: Windows Server and or Windows Server Management / Active Directory / Windows Server Group Policy.


  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience with each of the following that are listed: Windows server 2008 and newer and Storage Area Networks (SAN) and storage devices. 
  • Experience working in or with a Financial Institution in information technology.
  • Experience working in or with a Financial Institution supporting applications.


  • Installs current network operating system on new or existing devices and/or installs communication equipment including routers, switches and firewalls.
  • Installs software on networking devices.
  • Provides phone support to employees or customers relative to networking technology.
  • Analyzes network topologies to determine potential issues and makes suggestions for recommended changes.
  • Creates network assessments and certifications.
  • Assists and mentors less experienced peers.
  • Additional essential functions for network installations at a customer site:
  • Installs current network operating server software on new or existing server-class hardware and/or installs communication equipment including routers, terminal servers, switches and firewalls.
  • Installs supporting applications and peripherals on the above mentioned servers including tape backup hardware and software, email software, anti-virus software, etc. and/or implement technologies.
  • Installs user workstation hardware, operating software and various application software and/or pre-configured equipment.
  • Configures user IDs and customer-specific settings on servers and transfers data from the old environment to the new environment.
  • Corresponds with customer and other divisions within the company to insure all customer concerns and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assists Sales by analyzing customer requirements and recommending appropriate products and services.
  • Prepares statements of work relative to upcoming network installations and general preparations for installations
