Do you want to join a fast-paced, growing team that will be using and working directly with the latest cloud technologies? If so, the Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering Team is seeking a talented Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their team!  The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a proven track record in engineering hybrid-cloud solutions for enterprise environments. Additionally, you will have successfully implemented solutions based on fit for use and requirements, i.e. business continuity; service levels; availability; capacity; security; as well as, configured cloud infrastructure for new services and have migrated enterprise workloads form on-premises to the public cloud and vice versa. Candidates will like working in a collaborative, team environment but are also capable of completing projects on time and on your own.  You will consistently look for areas to improve processes and procedures and work well in a cross-functional capacity. 

There is an on-call rotation and you may potentially work nights and weekends based on business needs. Travel may be up to 5% to attend a conference or a training / meeting that may be at various JHA locations.


This position can be worked out of: Lenexa, KS, Allen, TX, Springfield, MO, Monett, MO or be 100% REMOTE from any US location.

About this Team:

The Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering Team is a new group under the Technology Operations Department focused on creating & managing solutions that support JHA’s data center strategy through enabling efficient, secure consumption of cloud platforms.


  • Minimum 18 months of cloud administration or cloud engineering experience.
  • Must have knowledge of or working experience with scripting (i.e. PowerShell, Bash, Python).


  • Experience with multi-cloud solutions and public cloud platforms (i.e. Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience administering Windows systems in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with automation tools used in enterprise cloud environments (i.e. Chef, Microsoft System Center Orchestrator, Azure Automation, Hashicorp Terraform, Azure Resource Manager templates, Azure Blueprints).
  • Experience migrating enterprise workloads between environments.
  • Experience using source code repositories like GitHub.
  • Experience with 3rd party tools to aid in cloud management (i.e. Dome9, PowerBI, Chef Inspec).
  • Experience with Linux in an enterprise setting (i.e. RHEL, CentOS, Fedora).
  • Experience with industry frameworks and methodologies: ITIL/Agile/Scrum/DevOps/SRE.
  • Applicable industry standard certification(s) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.


  • Provide operational system administration support for enterprise applications in a high availability, 24x7x365 environment.
  • Assists with IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs in support of one or more functional areas.
  • Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software.
  • Perform troubleshooting, resolution and problem analysis.
  • Monitor alerting systems and servers.
  • Review issues logs and network capacity reports to identify trends and solutions that should be implemented enterprise-wide.
  • Maintain in-depth documentation of activities and system configuration.
  • Assists with the preparation of systems assessments or certifications.
  • Assists with the execution of test processes and scenarios, track results, and make recommendations of system fixes.
  • Assist with network disaster recovery initiatives. Implement solutions to streamline disaster recovery.
