Sr. RPG Programmer Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Programmer Analyst to join our Card Processing Solutions team in Monett, MO. In this role, you will be responsible for providing programming and application support for the CPS iSeries product line. Our team provides technical 24/7/365 support, which includes custom coding, and application research to our financial institution clients who are utilizing one of the various platforms of our ATM/Debit card processing solutions. As a Sr. Programmer Analyst, you will be responsible for programming support roughly 85% of the time, as well as some custom coding. This position will have direct contact with CPS customers, so you must have strong verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate superior customer service and support.

This position must be initially located in the Monett, MO location, with an opportunity to work part or fully remotely after a certain period of time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of six years of experience with one or more of the following languages: RPGLE-ILE, RPG Free form, CL , CLLE or Embedded SQL on the AS400
  • Must be able to work an afterhours and weekend rotational on-call.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Banking/Debit Card background a plus
  • Strong logic based reasoning a must
  • Ability to write software code; good knowledge of appropriate programming language(s). 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develops programming code for new and/or existing software enhancements. 
  • Devises block diagrams, logic procedures and prepares flowcharting.
  • Troubleshoots and debugs existing code.
  • Tests code and fixes to ensure quality.
  • Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.
  • Provides programming support for various interfaces.
  • Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes; may assist the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.   
  • Creates all programming documentation; may include defining the system and functional requirements of the product
  • May complete project bids and/or work effort estimates. Interacts with customers to gather system requirements.
  • Serves as project lead on complex projects.
  • Mentors, trains, develops and provides support to less experienced co-workers.
