Risk and Regulatory Compliance Analyst

Job Description

The Enterprise Risk Management department works with business units throughout the company to identify and manage the risks facing the organization.  The Risk Analyst participates in activities across the company.  While there are focused activities within the area of regulatory compliance, employee safety and business continuity/disaster recovery, there is also oversight of general corporate risk.  This position requires you to have experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.  Any prior experience using Archer would be preferred.

The objectives of the department are to:
Ensure that governance activities are in place which provide timely and actionable information to management and the board.
Ensure that acceptable mitigation strategies are in place. 
Provide regulatory guidance to internal and external clients.

About Our Team:

The Enterprise Risk Management department works with business units throughout the company to identify and manage the risks facing the organization.  This team participates in activities across the company. While there are focused activities within the area of regulatory compliance, employee safety and business continuity/disaster recovery, there is also oversight of general corporate risk. The risk analyst will work with a team of 5 analyst working supporting business units within Jack Henry in the performance of risk management activities.  If you are interested in this position, please apply on or before August 18, 2018.

This position can be based to work out of the following Jack Henry office locations: Shawnee, KS or Lenexa, KS.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management or regulatory compliance.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% to attend possible Jack Henry meetings, training and or conference.
  • Proven ability to evaluate third party providers in accordance with the principles of vendor management.
  • Prior experience in managing issues and tracking their progress to resolution. 

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Archer Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) is highly valued.
  • CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRCM or CRISC certification preferred.
  • Financial Services industry experience highly desired. 
  • Working knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance concerns and industry standard security and risk frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret regulations and communicate requirements to business unit personnel.
  • Good communication and relationship building skills.
  • Good project management and effective time management.
  • Good financial and legal understanding of contracts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform risk assessments to quantify the risk exposure of company activities to management.  May include functions such as electronic payments, business continuity plans and/or other banking program activities.
  • Identifies potential risks in specific areas as assigned and mitigation strategies.
  • Investigates significant events to identify the root cause and create written reports.
  • Follow up with business units to ensure identified issues are handled in a complete and timely manner.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Create and update management dashboard.
