Technical Business Analyst

Job Description

Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. a leading provider of technology solutions and payment processing services primarily for the financial services industry is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for our growing team!

The Technical Business Analyst contributes to solution development and redesign processes by ensuring complete and accurate documentation of system requirements. Serves as a liaison between customers and development departments during the development and support phases of the product lifecycle.  Frequently interacts with customers at all levels to identify needs and requirements and propose strategies and solutions to accomplish

This team serves an important purpose at Jack Henry & Associates and are on the ground floor of developing a tool that is going to change and offer significant value to the entire organization.  This impactful team is a group of close-knit, highly qualified and passionate individuals. 

This position can be located in either Springfield, MO or Monett, MO.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical business or product analysis experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong knowledge of the financial industry.
  • Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good grammar and writing skills.
  • Able to define system and functional requirements. 
  • Able to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Able to interact with and communicate well with other technical associates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Interacts with customers to gather system requirements.
  • Defines the system and functional requirements of the product.
  • Prepares business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Serves as a resource and/or participant in business process re-design activities. Assists the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.
  • May perform application, system and regression tests.
  • Responsible for creating business requirements and system documentation, as well as contributing to end-user and project management documentation.
  • Works with quality assurance and programming teams to ensure changes are migrated into production correctly.
  • Interacts with technical teams to convey business requirements.
  • Works with industry research groups to prepare for product trends.
