Job Description

The Jack Henry & Associates Core Director and Teller Development team to seeking to hire an exciting role for a .NET Software Engineer for our Springfield, MO office. In this role, candidates will report to the Software Engineering Supervisor on this small 3-person team that focuses on UI development.    This team works with JHA’s Core Director product and responsible for development, software enhancements, releases, regulatory updates, integrations of all JHA products and third-party products.  This is an excellent opportunity for candidates to gain exposure to high-end Microsoft technologies such as C#, .NET, Angular.JS and client/server application development.  The primary focus of this role will be front-end development and design of the Core Director platform and some light maintenance programming.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing with C# or any procedural programming language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. 
  • Willing to work with HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript and AngularJS.
  • Previous experience with C# or .NET programming a big plus. 
  • Experience in design of client/server applications. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Completes product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification, and resolution.  
  • Performs system analysis and programming activities which may require research. 
  • Provides technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application.  
  • Provides reasonable task and project effort estimates. 
  • Ensures timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production. 
  • Develops and tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices. 
  • Creates required technical documentation. 
  • Adheres to documented departmental and corporate standards. 
  • Collaboratively works with QA team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. 
  • Collaboratively works with customer support team to resolve or diagnose defects.
