Job Description

Jack Henry & Associates is seeking a Programmer Analyst for Springfield, MO or Monett, MO locations.

Jack Henry is seeking a Programmer Analyst who will be joining the Integration & Distribution Services team that provides upgrades services for Jack Henry’s IBM i-based banking products which includes upgrade processes, documentation, scheduling, training, and support.  Candidates for this position will be part of a team of 7 employees who will be focused on supporting enhancements of new releases and upgrades for 2 of Jack Henry’s core systems; SilverLake and 20/20.  The technology used within this team is mostly composed of RPG programming, i-Series or AS400 development, SQL and some C#. 

Individuals must be willing to work a rotational on-call schedule once per month and work in team environment.  Jack Henry offers a great working culture, competitive benefits package and great career advancement!


  • Experience in programming support. 
  • Must be able to participate in an on-call rotational schedule once per month for one day.


  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Prior RPG Programming highly preferred.
  • Proficient in SQL programming on the I, RPGLE, and CLLE.


  • Develops programming code for new and/or existing software enhancements. 
  • Troubleshoots and debugs existing code.
  • Tests code and fixes to ensure quality.
  • Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.
  • Provides programming support for various interfaces.
  • Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes; may assist the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.   
  • May complete project bids and/or work effort estimates. Interacts with customers to gather system requirements. 
  • Mentors, trains, develops and provides support to less experienced co-workers.
