Job Description

We are currently seeking a Project Analyst to join Symitar- a Jack Henry brand, to work with customers and other departments to translate requirements into business specifications. This individual will facilitate efforts with customers and users across all departments and deliver concise business requirements to customers, users, and programming.  As a Project Analyst with Episys Professional Services, you will be responsible for the project management of each system enhancement, managing the delivery from conception to implementation.

About Our Team

Our Professional Services Team provides current and converting Episys credit union clients with analyst and programming resources to assist clients with their custom programming requests. We create custom programs for Episys clients, as well as install, and support several custom products and services; most notably SymApp, Enhanced Loan and Membership Applications (ELA & EMA), Symform, and SymformPDF. Our Project Analyst team currently has 20 custom products/services that they own for support and customization. We also manage the installation and support for several Episys core modules related to loan and new account processing, and forms.

This position may be worked from any JHA location or Remote.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ­­­­­the Financial Industry
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Episys user.
  • Experience at multiple financial institutions or Symitar partner, competitor or client environments.


  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of company products and services.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to define system and functional requirements and craft solutions. 
  • Able to meet aggressive deadlines and handle multiple, demanding projects.
  • Able to effectively lead and facilitate group meetings.


  • Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems.  Prepares work-effort estimates and solution approaches.
  • Performs needs analysis to develop design specifications for projects. Defines the system and functional requirements of the product.  Performs requirements gathering, project scoping and translates requirements into business specifications. 
  • Performs project management duties from feasibility analysis through implementation.
  • Defines specifications and workflow models for product development.
  • Coordinates the development, quality assurance and testing efforts to ensure conformance with design specifications and performance standards.
  • Creates all requirements documentation.
  • Coordinates the creation of training support documentation and implementation plans.
  • Serves as liaison between end users and development (technical and non-technical departments) during all phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Presents periodic project updates to senior management.
