Job Description

Jack Henry & Associates’ Travel Department coordinates all of the travel needs for the more than 6,000 employees nationwide.  Additionally, the Travel Department schedules and operates several business aircraft in support of this corporate mission. While simultaneously providing support for company business activities such as; sales, install teams, meetings, shuttles and corporate services, the department also provides 24/7 short-notice emergency air transport for JHA. While ensuring the safety of all passengers throughout business trips, the individuals in this department are also tasked with effectively and efficiently dealing with dynamic situations and executing alternate plans when needed. The Flight Department rigorously trains all company pilots in the aircraft, simulators and in the classroom to ensure they consistently provide industry-leading knowledge and skills.

This department is seeking a task-oriented, determined student to join their Summer 2018 Internship. A qualified candidate will work alongside current crewmembers on several projects in the Department surrounding Training, Safety and Flight Standards. Additionally, a student will receive aircraft and operations specific training that would qualify them for a Second-in-Command Type Rating on the Company's Embraer Phenom 300 Aircraft. The student will then have the ability to join JHA on trips as able, to gain valuable hands-on experience. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside highly experienced pilots in a well-established flight department while learning more about the business aviation industry.

To be considered, a student must hold a Multi-engine Commercial Instrument Certificate, as well as a Current FAA Second Class Medical.

The Jack Henry & Associates summer internship will provide a student with practical work experience and strengthen their technical & business skills working within a professional team environment. During this 10-week, paid internship, interns will work on projects that are pertinent to the needs of this department. Interns will gain realistic career experience to add to their resume through goal-orientated objectives and frequent professional feedback. Internships are 40-hour work weeks packed with learning and networking opportunities. The summer begins with an orientation week and concludes with a final project showcase. Because we are unable to provide housing, students should have access to housing in the area the internship position is located.

Students must:

  • Have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
