Job Description

Jack Henry is seeking an Applications Engineering Manager position.

Do you have good supervisory experience and an application support background with .net and networking?  If so, this position might be perfect for you!  The Applications Engineering Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Integration Development – Operations.  In this position, the manager will be managing a team of technical engineers who support .net applications and solutions for customers who have purchased one of JHA’s integration solutions. Candidates will assess a client’s trouble issues, assist with putting place network policies and applications, organizing preventative maintenance schedules, monitor and report on application behaviors and manage the technical team. 

As a manager, you will be expected to participate very hands-on with your team, this is not just an administration role.  To succeed in this role, ideal candidates must have the ability to prioritize work, be able to work on a team involving external and internal customers and strong communication skills.  Prior experience with project management is a big plus to manage project deliverables and in a timely manner.  Travel up to 25% to attend JHA training, conferences and staff meetings.  Jack Henry offers work/life balance, competitive benefits and career advancement!


  • Minimum of 7 years of technical experience with .net applications, basic networking and or network troubleshooting tools.
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous supervisory or manager experience.


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
  • Previous experience with Project Management.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.


  • Analyzes and recommends resource requirements for installations, including assignment of installation team members. 
  • Serves as a leader and resource for the installation team members.   Exercises the responsibility and authority to take steps to ensure a successful installation.
  • Maintains effective communication with customer throughout entire project.
  • Monitors all phases of the installation and escalates issues when necessary.
  • Documents issues, ensuring they are not repeated in subsequent conversions.  Maintains customer issue list and ensures all are forwarded to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Provides ongoing application, network and security support including servers, firewalls, routers, active directories, etc.
  • Conveys customer feedback to development staff. 
  • Performs manager duties such as writing performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching employees, and serves as an escalation point for difficult issues, questions, etc.
