Job Description

Jack Henry is seeking an Application Security Engineer, Advanced.

Locations: Springfield, MO, Monett, MO, Mendota Heights, MN, Allen, TX, Houston, TX and Lenexa, KS

The  Applications Security Engineer will report to the Enterprise Application Security Manager and will work with a team of 5 other engineers. The Senior Engineer will manage the configurations of application delivery controllers, manage and configure web application firewalls and design solutions for secure, highly available access to applications.  There is an on call weekly rotation every 4 weeks.  Jack Henry offers career advancement and competitive benefits.


  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in application, information or network administration


  • Provides protection of the application through OSI layers 4 – 7
  • Develops policies and procedures to prevent system compromise or infiltration
  • Acts as a central point of contact for internal customers on application security issues
  • Manages and maintains application delivery controllers
  • Acts as an escalation point for complex internal and customer facing application security and support functions
  • Participates in product Change Control Boards and work with other JHA departments to ensure security of products and services
  • Provide assistance to less experienced peers
  • Engineers secure, highly available application delivery solutions
  • Investigates, recommends and monitors implementation of new security products and services
  • Engineers automated, self service solutions for repeatable tasks
